Notes : Headed south on a educated hunch. Went straight to the Hook and the parking lot was almost full- bad sign. At the overlook Dunderhead was doing his stretched already in his wetsuit. Another bad sign. Indeed Hook was working – not so big that I could have done it- problem was there was a lot of local folk in the lineup – who could surf – not my vibe. The swell seemed not big enough for Capitola to be working … but maybe… I headed down to the Cap. No one in the water … dead flat… but then I noticed pizza my heart heading out- wow – very very good sign. i love his surfing – like a ballet dancer- i waited and watched. indeed less than five minutes later a perfect shoulder high outside set arrived – i suited up- one hour and a half with pizza my heart and one other guy who was good. we laughed-“we scored” no one here – perfect waves… fun session
