Notes : Later start – picked up Gina that Kevin and in water at 9 AM. In the first half hour I managed to get a couple of open shouldered lefts with the “short” board that were pretty good. Then I fell off a cliff and it was NADA. Closeouts with 50,000 soft top jockeys paddling into nothingness. Big news of course was the shocking news that “Izzy” had died of a heart attack on Wednesday night. Quite shocked. He was the spirit of Linda Mar – great surfer with a kind word for everyone. The epitome of stoke – and as a marine biologist – full of knowledge for the ocean and all things in and around it. everyone is reeling.
