Notes : Before even getting to the Mar G had a major pre-dawn wipeout at T&D’s trying to retrieve her board. Sliding back side door cascaded off its frame into 15 glass framed pieces of artwork on the wall splintering them onto the floor. She finally made it to the Subaru dealership where I was servicing the ‘prez and after board txfr made it to the B lot where it was MACKIN and JACKIN and PUMPIN and DUMPIN.  North end was in a fury and the Point was XXXL. But the DOX? Relatively peaceful. Nice fattish lines coming through – staying open. Gina caught some insides with BM. I stayed way outside and got some El Bombo’s that kept givin and givin. Were it not for the rude drop in he she I would of given it the 4 star…

Notes :  we aited again. had a killer breakfast scramble with mikel bacon venison sausage and grilled peppers. then mikel left and we hit privates – while tina did a hike down to 38th. there was some here and theres but a giant party of 12 year old groms on soft tops befouled our sesh- rotten selfish kids. but we both got some meager here and theres. so ends another SC surfing and gourmet t give. we hand a great highway 1 ride home purple and orange sunset colors – empty highway – listening to a podcast re telling the story of Clintons impeachment process…

Notes : We waited until about mid day for the tide to clear then headed to privates. good choice considering everywhere else was jacked up with peeps. Gina surfed the inside and I headed way outside and waited and waited. Then I waited while G got inider after insider. Finally my ticket showed up – head high smooth and glassy I got right up in it and it was a great ride. A whole giant section was opening up when I got to the inside when I spied a GIANT  tangle of KELP in front of me. I thought because of my speed I could kind of bump pop and skirt my way up OVER and thru it. NOT TO BE. One thick  vine grabbed the nose of the board and the whole patch swamped me and I went ASS over heels in front of the board. RIDE OVER. I spent the rest of the set back outside hoping for a repeat performance but Nada. Should have stayed inside. Right at the end of the session however another ride came my way – not as big but a sweet ride.2 hours and 2 rides – well worth it. That night we made the steaks on the barbie – with a killer mushroom dish and purple beans … plus azerbijan cookies a la mode…

Board : Hemmed and hawed with Gina on where to surf. we also waited until the tide was low. When we got to ole Cap we atched. Finally we saw some outside widebreaking rollers and suited up. I positioned myself way outside and managed to score a few. Gina ping ponged between the inside wave and the outside where I was. She scored a nice ride at precisely 1:14 pm that is viewable on the Capitola rewind cam forevermore. That night we had the untraditional tgive fare- epic sausage and grilled radicchio. Wound up playing a kooky drawing card game which was a laugh blast…

Notes : Took a pass on lindy in the AM  cause it was flattish and went to work early. left work and drove to SC with Tina for the weekend. Thought we could make an afternoon sesh at 38th but not to be. We had a cabin next to gina and mykell and next to them Dee had a cabin. ll at old Fern river – 16 or so years since Tina and I first got there and I went surfing at Manresa with JW’s blue 80 stewart gun. No Tom b/c he was on the mosnster tour across Yurp w/ Dan Stuart of GOR. Had a feast of Chickens – smashed potatoes and asparagus- then proceeded to solve most of the worlds political problems…
