Notes : SHARKS! SHARKS! SHARKS!! A EVERYONE TALKIN ABOUT SHARKS! in the lineup mile said an 8 foot passed under him on friday out by the A lot pump house. he only knew because a paddle boarder told him so because he saw it. M$ came out (SUP) and asked me “hey you surf here every day what is with the sharks?” i said i didn’t know and he said a bunch of reliable people had said they had sightings of 10 foot GWS in the line up. My first wave was awesome classic boat dox. paddling back out to the line up a set was coming in. A no leash longboard dude yelled to me : “hey dude a MASSIVE SALMON SHARK” just passed under your board.” I said “what??!!!!” then i lost him in the incoming set. How did he surmise it was a salmon shark and not a junior great white i wondered??? Lost a contact after an hour and went back in. When i paddled back out i again went way outside and waited for some bombs. got one. then went back to the same place outside and noticed a MASSIVE DRAGGING AND THRASHING obout 50 feet in front of me …. I looked back (because I was the furthest outside) and confirmed with the insiders “did you see that – that ain’t normal – what the fuck is that shit???” Then a bomb came thru and i grabbed it and said “i am done”. got my binoculars and watched from the shore (with S3 who also had binoculars- we saw another MASSIVE thrashing JUST OUTSIDE THE BOASTDOX LINEUP. S3 SAID “I’m taking my kids out of the water.” things is no one seemed to care among the people who were surfers and for the kooks and newbies they had NO CLUE a shark was in the water. Just before i left i confirmed with another surfer yes it was a juvenile great white 8 foot
