Notes : It really kind of looked like rubbish. and it kind of was closeout close to shore rubbish. but – unlike the past 3 days -I was on my game. picking waves correctly – popping up quick. so it was a better session than the waves should have allowed. plus my last wave was a redemption wave – a jaunty right that swerved and pulsated – offering up one hump  and then another little clean face…

Notes : it looked perfect. clean and galssy. but it was closing out. I found a corner open but was off to a slow start. frustrating – bad wave selection. then things switched around and sets started rolling in – for almost a half hour. I aggressively made a stab at switch foot on virtually every wave. then after a half hour it reverted back to just close outs. weird

Notes : clear but smoky skies as a new wildfire has sprouted overnight in Napa. Clean conditions. No wind. Some swell. hella crowded. started off real slow and plodding again. Eventually redeemed myself for there was about a 40 minute period of outside bombs that I patiently waited for with two other folk. They were very nicely groomed waves that came in sets of three. The first one I got I was not far enough out and almost fell off the face on my board- but I held on and steered the board left – then managed to get up and it still wound up being a great ride. red tide sea weed all on the inside – you exit looking like swamp thing…

Notes : Big and gnarly. first swell of the fall season. north end ws giant white wash closeout masters. I almost wasn’t gonna go in. I watched for a full half hour at boat dox. finally mustered the courage to paddle out. there were big wedges- swelling heaps of crumbling water- sometimes an outside 2 wave set would appear that you had to scratch over. unfortunately I was off my game for some reason- mostly due to bad positioning and bad wave selection- oh well – there was some rides I got…

Notes : Clear blue skies – clean conditions- back at the creek peak- 745 am to 9am – not THAT crowded. Goofy Foot Fall continues- I actually had two waves where I switched stance into another section goofy foot  without falling flat on my face – I guess that could possibly mean that one could imagine that I may likely be improving?
