Notes : we headed up to c street. plan being gina and i would leave early and surf c street. michael would follow later w/tina. after ssh tina and i would just keep heading up north back to ole SF. it was mushy and crumbly and overcast when we got to c street but a VERY nice l’il wave breaking in front of the apartment complexes. we both had a great sesh. it looked like SHITE but when you leaned in the wave stood up and opened up- very mellow and very fun. and not overly crowded at all. michael and tina showed up. we got out and had loads and loads of gaffs in the parking lot. then we went to a great fish tacos place. m and g headed south – back to la. t and me headed north up to sf listening to crazy podcasts the whole trip about the history of watergate. magical weekend trip…

Notes : sunset. right at highway 1 – right after santa monica. pr as gina calls it skid row. we decided to go in because as we were looking over the bluff a super sweet set caame in with only one guy out. we suited up and made our way down the vomit stained needle strewn rocks and paddled towards the rising sun. alas high tide worked against us- it was very likely the last set that arrived that suckered us in. just gott swamped out with nothing breaking. . we paddled further south to the beach break and it was there that we were able to get some rides that redeemed the session- just high tide shorbreak – but enough to evoke the stoke. we exited all the way south and had to walk a ways along highway one to get back to the sube. every last parked car we passed had people living in the vehicle.it was like walking by peoples bedrooms as they awoke for the day. harsh and i felt a harbringer of how things will be getting. back at the car we had a crazy lady with a poodle tells us about lizards. then a tiny squirrel that literally barked/howled like an urban rat/wolf. then the huy doing his samuel l jackson impersonation in the sperts car behind us. Also/BTW out in the water we were visited by a pod of dolphins.the papa dolphs fin was super beat up- jeagged and cut up- also looked very dirty – somewhat glassy eyed as well – we called it Methy-The Hollywood City Dolphin. That night another great meal- mikels ribs from nevada – he thought they underperformed but tina and i felt they were perfect.

Notes : from hollywood to ventura. it was very nice – not firing lined up by things were breaking up at the point down to the aprtment complexes so the crowd was thinned out. managed to get some nice rides but was floundering towards the end of the session. that night we had a great dinner- salad asparagus a leftover beef tenderloin from the camping craft service – waste not want not…

Notes : not half bad in front of the creek. surfed well so the nediocre waves seemed alot better then they maybe were. me tina then off to la in the sube to visit gina and mike. have gina’s new ALT board that i picked up fromALT on sunday
