Notes : Clear blue skies. Windless. Nice choppy sections on deck at boat dox and I managed exactly two okay waves – however not really on my game. Very cold outside temp – 46 but water 55!

Notes : I actually had an okay session at dox despite the crowd. it was a challenge to weave among the throngs to try and get a take off and then a clear flight path – but I managed a few. Everyone headed back after the long holiday week to L.A. and NYC

Notes : It was the day of days. Firing up and down the coast. Tow in conditions apparently at Ocean Beach – 18 foot. Drove down to Cap with Gina thinking even Cap would be too big. We got there as the tide started to recede and it was 57 people in the water. Very big. We paddled out on the beach side of the first jetty and then planted ourselves on the left away from the main pod. I was pretty patient and managed to score two very different but great long rides – both sort of challenging because I had to fight to get around a wall of white water until it finally opened up to pure clean face – 710 feet – new record  at least for length. I got out because it was just too challenging with the crowd. Gina felt the same- just more of a zoo than Malibu…

Notes : With Gina and Kevin at the creek. it was a challenge trying to get a decent ride with the crowd and swampy high tide making everything really bumpy and warmly. must have paddled from boatdox to  north of the a lot pump house on a hunt and peck mission. Great thanksgiving at mike and Ginas air bib in excelsior – with: pat tina mike gina Lammy chris phoenix Kevin max and Carolyn tom and Deirdre – talking back and forth about mike and toms 60th and how quasar should not have hosted the World Cup…

Notes : Was pretty much flat on the South end. However it was clear skies , windless and very glassy. A very nice set came thru near the A lot pump house so I suited up. For the first 30 min Utes it was great – just three or four of us on it. Then the wind came up – sort of a cross offshore that slopped everything up – good while it lasted. mike and gina in for t give holi daze…
