Flew into LA Thursday the April 25. Tina had already been there. Next day – Friday the 27th – decided to try the ‘Bu but later in the afternoon. So, Tina could come along Low tide and very small – so not very crowded – still I counted about 15. It waw not that bad but I failed to get my Bu come to Jesus’ wave. I managed a few very insiders. Practically on the cobblestone shore. Saturday the 28th I hit Malibu again and it was again very small – but still great IMHO. Not many in the water again. Didn’t surf great and slightly frustrating – but so good to get more Bu session under my belt. For lunch we went to Miz La La which was epic. Then Tina’s birthday dinner on Abbot Kinney restaurant Gjlina after a walk thru the AMDAM like Venice canals district.

Sunday picked up Benjii – who was in town with Chris rehearsing at Katie Js for any upcoming Durgas Euro tour. He road Gina’s super fish and had to trunk it. We first went to the Bu (Benjii told me it was our old friend Diana Watson that did the tile work signage for Adamson house!) but decided to head back to Topanga which was a good call. I actually had an okay session. Very clean – low tide and small and soft – but some nicely groomed waist highs coming thru with nary a crowd.

Next day Monday was the Bu again – and it was okay. Same thing – no crowd – low tide very small – but beautiful waves coming thru every now and again. That afternoon we went to LACMA to see WW! And the emergence of mass media, Judy Baca painting the great LA basin wall mural, Chris burden toy cars then to the LA BREA tar pits and capped it off with delivery from Otus Thai. No come to Jesus Bu’ wave but still Overall 5 out of 5 LA stars!
