Notes : Frustration. Couldn’t really make anything work – except for making g wrong decisions – that I was pretty good at – in fact , almost professional level- wrong wave selection, wrong pop up, wrong foot work – king of wrong. Yet, at the end of the session I had one redemption wave- paddled over to dox and scored a really nice wave – and surfed it well – as Robert Marley once opined_ “Redemption Wave – it’s all I ever had – Redemption wave”

Notes : Back at the scene of the crime from yesterday- Taco Bell action. This time the waves were not as good- onshore wind whipped. Yet , oddly, I surfed better than yesterday – so my sense of the session was “hey, not bad” . Sub-par waves + good performance = good feeling about the session. go figure.

Notes : Good waves + bad surfing = mixed feelings about session. There were nice little steepish-esque waves coming through at Taco Bell w/ nice crowd – T , A, L and others _ I just couldn’t connect and was making bad wave selection + poor paddling. Got precisely one good wave where I performed well that upped P erf. from one to two stars…
