Notes : absolutely pouring rain. wasn’t going to go – but the foggy cam looked promising. indeed it was. two bell again offshore CLEAN lines. with size. i almost was going to go to boat dox because taco was too big on the closeout sets- but i said fuck it. in reality i got 5 rides. but they were awesome fucking rides- the whole town was out- best long boarders hoot in and holler in in the poring rain. again almost got all ten over. had to change in the back seat of the car afterwards because the rain was so driving…

Notes : WOW- another 4 str in front of taco bell- hella crowded w/good long boarders- including B6 KRUE. only 12 rides but they were SUPER QUALITY. I was inches from having all 10 over on two waves- felt the tail sticking up behind me- and recovered – the board REALLY PERCHES – starting to feel the benefits of the design…

Notes : Rainy strong offshore. but clean lines and FOLK were out in force- 20 strong pod in front of taco bell… 26 fuckin waves… but most of them were under 100 yards- short offshore lines… way soaked train to change afterwards

Notes : Started out at 38th which I haven’t surfed in years. It was good in the beginning but then petered out. Got out and walked down to the hook. Crowded with a nice little longboard right on the second bowl- but crowded. I grabbed a nice one that took me all the way down to Sharks. I decided to stay because there was only a pod of 3 or 4 olde timers in the line up. A gem came through- a weird wave that actually somehow INCREASED in size – from glassy waist high to a head high section- it just kept going and I kept ahead of it inches from the nose … great ride- it felt like 400 yards but was actually only 164 yards – had about 5 rides much longer. but that one was special…

Notes : Decided to forgo a smallish yet crowded 41st high tide peak for ankle MICRO waves at Capitola. so small i was the only one in the water. i had to take off right at the jetty – literally- but a few came buy that were well groomed- it was fun and challenging
