Notes : cloudy overcast and teeny-tiny at the dox. there were three longboard groms in the lineup- they we’re all good – and leashless- we traded off waves for an hour…

Notes : Dox was on and few people in the lineup. surfed great. was able to get the left and then do HAIRPIN pivot turn and switch into the reformed right- I can make the most SEVERE cut backs on this board when I am on my game…what a difference from yesterday.

Notes : small low tide hook. surfed it like that a million times – however I surfed the worst I have ever surfed in yers. could not catch anything. I couldn’t believe I was still capable of being so bad at surfing. for 2 hours and 20 minutes I caught nothing. them the last 10 minutes I want firther down towards sharks and caught two rights – that was it…

Notes : Today was DAY of DAYS. every sport fringe with glassy action up and down the coast. at cap every spot was going off from the first jetty – to mid outside – to way outside – the rare teaching spot was working -then two more spots I could see pods at ALL the way down to bombora. I walked along the beach south and paddled out between two spots- then once outside paddled back over north to my way outsides. in the first 15 minutes I snagged a MONSTER- could be my best ever ride at CAP? wasn’t sure if I should go because I felt I was too deep- but I made the drop and then that thing fucking opened up like a glassy head high V8 engine – I had raced down the line going from mid wave to the top and trimming – might have caught it on my handheld…video document of the great 2020 Covid Capitola Binge set to Go To Blazes cover of the Blue Mountain Song Jimmy Carter

Notes :  another double fours cap day. this was even with a FULL one hour lull of no waves (from 9 20 to 10 20 am) but before that was epic and after that was epic. before the lull I scored one of those rare Cap lefts. I had wanted to go right but a kook stood in my flight path – I pivoted left and took off completely perched- the face just stood upright at attention- perfectly in the curl

Notes : Cap gluttony continues. this time it was more miss than hit. tide was unfavorable and not much was breaking outside. all the action moved to the inside section. I floundered a lot and was off rhythm. when I went outside I should have been inside – when I went inside I should have been outside. still I managed some nice inside zippers with the price of admission
