Notes : There were waves. There was also kelp. A lot of it. My first wave was a soft and meandering – cut back for one section – then another cut back for another. It was to be my last good wave of the session. couldn’t connect with waves after that. waited way outside for the bomb that never came…

Notes : Everything was going fine at dox. The only problem was the crowd – too big. The waves were folding over quick but – again- I was surfing pretty good. I jumped on a close-outs loser wave lost the board and when I came up realized the nose was glistening in the sun light. uhhh. MAJOR DAMAGE. it must have hit a rock and PEELED back to the foam the entire bottom decks nose in a 7 inch triangle. never done so much damage to a board. super bummed. how did it happen?? I don’t know. RW says it might be to far gone…. awaiting his prognosis.

Notes : Small yet perfectly groomed knee to waist high peeler at the dox. I surfed really well and pulled off a near perfect cheater five – when I PLANTED that foot right near the nose it was like putting the metal to the pedal of a 68 Camaro muscle car – I just flew down the line. it was weird.

Notes : Overcast. A jump in size so it was a hop skip and a jump over to the relative safety of dee old boatdox. Some very nice lines being offered up and -although I wasn’t surfing as well as yesterday morn- I managed to pick off some nice lefts. pretty rad

Notes : Calm and clear. Like yesterday. Smaller. Opted for the little peak in between Taco Bell and pandas. I surfed really well. I picked waves really well. I popped up really well. I managed a number of switch foot into goofy stance – felt I advanced. It has been a while since I have surfed so ably at Linda Mar. Performance wise my best outing of 2021…
