Notes : Later start – picked up Gina that Kevin and in water at 9 AM. In the first half hour I managed to get a couple of open shouldered lefts with the “short” board that were pretty good. Then I fell off a cliff and it was NADA. Closeouts with 50,000 soft top jockeys paddling into nothingness. Big news of course was the shocking news that “Izzy” had died of a heart attack on Wednesday night. Quite shocked. He was the spirit of Linda Mar – great surfer with a kind word for everyone. The epitome of stoke – and as a marine biologist – full of knowledge for the ocean and all things in and around it. everyone is reeling. That night we had one last takeout meal with Mikel gina and tom at mike and Ginas air bnb. RT rotisserie. They ship out early Monday…

Notes : out to boat dox with the green dove – the al 8’6″ . quite an adjustment but glad to surf it after so long. surfed like a beginner and couldn’t get the feel for the board. when we finished – we packed up the cars and headed to Marin Beach for big picnic. wound up getting a a fire pit on the beach – and getting all the food down there – absolute beautiful location – me and tina mike and gina and tom and dee and chris -with chop and Stephanie and their black lab Flo- amazing fire and sunset – classic Norcal picnic on the beach in gorgeous hardcore untouched nature…

Notes : Santa Cruz strike force of the Linda Mar creek rats board of directors in the Odlemobile – with Gina. we settled on a lukewarm privates that had a slow soft wave with the occasional set wave. blabber nouth guy M bar??? – non stop talking in the line up provided a good laugh – his entire family history to anyone who would listen. gina and I wound up paddling over to sharks – which was packed – another frustrating session of poor surf performance. that night me tina mike and gina did MCF at their richland avenue air bib. then later mike wound up going to the chapel to see CVS’s flaming grooviesStats/Video :

Notes : early t give surf with gina and Kevin. couldn’t make the blue dove work – very frustrating – difficult to turn. got maybe one decent wave. we had a great thanks and went over to at tom and dee with mike and gina and Kevin and Carolyn and Max – who is now like 7’8″ tall

Notes : God its hard to turn that board. it was choppy a  little – but okay waves at the dox. the 94 feels so wooden and clunky – or is it my imagination? That said once you are on a line – it’s like planted on the trim – like a heavy plank. everyone rolls in today – Mikel from NY and Gina from LA. T give tomorrow at T and D. Tonight – Hilsinger hang at the Royal Cuckoo

Notes : Clear skies. Glass. Flat. A bump north of the A lot and at the roundhouse. I stayed at the A lot and managed a few nice little rides. Little to no people out – but very beautiful morning…

Notes : clear with a slight ripple in the water. too crowded and should have migrated up north to creeps. stayed with the pack and wasn’t able to get into much that was memorable. guy hit me on the last wave and  dinged the nose of the magic dove. blah.
