Notes : Despite the flooded out high tide there were waves at dox. the north end was explosive. they were sort of crumbly waist to shoulder high things that had some oomph. I got a few but they had bad takeoffs/popups – so didn’t get the full enchilada. I also didn’t get that outside set wave that I really wanted before the whole of dox just petered out and – from the looks of it- Taco Bell turned on…

Notes : Big and packing on the north end. massive eruptions of closeout whitewater. everyone crowded on the south end between taco bell and the dox. very few dared to go further north. the crowd and sun glare made me hesitate- but finally after hemming and hawing I suited up. I got two very nice waves – I was extremely selective. then after the second I got out. just to many kooks paddling about in the impact zones…

Notes : clear and mostly flat on the South end. Everyone was going up north. However I waited and waited and watched. Finally – breaking thru the high tide – a little wave started to break at boat dox. One person on it. I suited up.It was mellow and soft but fun – I got a number of rides that were okay – then the masses stormed in after an hour or so – it was not much – but not bad

Notes : Clear blue skies. Slight offshore. Soft mellow crumbly little things at boat dox that ranged in size from knee to just about shoulder height. I surfed well – with control and a little bit of elegance- so it made the session a lot of fun.

Notes : A marathon nearly 4 hour Cappy session started out very promising with a nearly 600 yard meandering crumbly right hander as soon as I got out. However, that is where it ended. For the next four hours I blew every wave offered to me- was out of position for every set wave – for hour after hour. I was in the water for so long because I was determined to get back on the mark – but it just never happened. I kept missing wave after wave. With the exception of that first wave – historically- the worst performance at Capitola in my surf career…

Notes : A sos so day at the dox with some soft knee to waist high thingy bobbies. Session ended with blowing a wave and the board hitting me on the forehead. Much nervousness ensued throughout the day and evening – but the lump grew and then receded.

Notes : Clear blue skies. more or less windless – cleanish. very soft and mellow docs that was best when I got in around 730 am- some knee to waist high ramblers. by 830 everything was just mush. if there was a jet ski that could have towed me I would have finished the session on the north end. instead I stayed put at the doxter – hunting and pecking for the diminishing returns…
