Notes : A solid DOUBLE FOURS!!! The last time this rare event occurred was this year on January 28th. Happening again in almost the exact same spot- the right just a little north of Taco Bell. I was not expecting it because when I rolled up the “B” lot was not really crowded. Just about six cars – although the A lot was a little crowded – but not so much. It was clear skies with a slight occasional offshore breeze. I almost immediately noticed a perfectly groomed right hander just north of Taco Bell. A pod of six were at the peak – not many. I watched  for max 2 minutes -because they just were rolling in – J nailing a right hander. No time for the dilly dally. I suited up route suite because I knew exactly where I was paddling out to. Unbelievably -I score two waist high perfect peelers right when I got out.Dry har still. The entry and exit were so smooth my head never got wet. From there on in it was wave after wave. -never got really crowded – C eventually joined. Got some serious tip time – the waves peeled right perfectly- managed some with foots and some hood ornaments- from start to finish surfed great. smooth and elegant. great sesh…

Notes : Misty cloudy and 70% closeouts in front of the A lot pump house. the other 30% were open waist to head high shoulders – really zippy. However every time I tried to get one of the 30% – it just turned into a close out – or aborted at the last moment. never really locked in with those open shoulders. got one at the end that was okay – but not ideal. just never locked in with a nice open faced non closeout … oh well – that’s how the seaweed cookie crumbles sometimes…

Notes : Not much. Flat from north to south. But glassy. I headed down. A clean little glassy bump just north of the A lot pump house. No one in the water except for D and maybe three other people and G on his SUP. I managed some little here and there’s for what was being offered…

Notes : Clear and windless but small and soft from north to south. dox was basically flat. Again a little bump in front of the A lot pump house where every was hunting corners. They came by – here and there an open little wedge. tina and I then saw everything everywhere in Berkeley –multiverse string theory on several bong hits. tom later that day – electric day show at the zeitgeist – where the theme song was and will always continue to be “ace of spades”…

Notes : Supposed to be 25mph onshore and poring. However when I looked at cam it was windless clear and glassy flat – with a pod of folk in front of the A lot pump house. Intrigued I headed down. At the A lot pump house there were about 10 people riding clean very small lines including D. Occasionally there would be a big cross offshore gust. Then it started poring rain. But I continued to watch. The rain cleared in about twenty minutes so I suited up. It was not that bad. Little lines in front of the A lot pump house were fun – it cleared completely and the sun peaked out- got a few here and there’s, not bad for a day that was supposed to be un surf able according to all the models…

Notes : Clear skies and very small and soft. But there were distinct little corners right in front of the creek to Taco Bell. It was fun. With B and D. Plus A GIANT WHALE BREACHED as I was getting out of the water! It was a partial breach. Then I watched from the lot and the same whale breached AGAIN AND AGAIN. I involuntarily threw my hands up and screamed as it happened because it was so incredible. Everyone stopped in their tracks to watch it – putting on a show. It emerged like a missile out of a submarine- bright blue and white underbelly- soaring straight up into the air almost to the bottom of its tail. Then it would crash back into the sea sending up a plume of whitewater into the sky… Guess it’s that season again…

Notes : Overcast, misty, occasional offshore gusts but Pretty nicely groomed in front of Taco Bell. They kind of folded over in a lackadaisical manner and then petered out – however- some set waves were the Real Deal. Wide lipped, feathering humps that if you were in the right “slot” really has some push. That said – they were weird waves to get into properly. It was hard to late exactly where you had to sit in order to get one of those. Too far out and you just wouldn’t be able to push into it and you got left behind. Too far in and you were tomahawked. There was kind of no room for error on those set waves- no “shoulder hopping Johnnies.” Pretty good sesh

Notes : Finally a clean day with no onshore wind. Still not many folk out except M and A. It was clean but really swamped because of the tide – but some stuff was pushing thru. I started at the dox but it was too high tidy. Then moved over to the creek/ pandibar where A was and got some decent rights that I surfed well. Better than I expected. But my god was it cold brrrrrrrrr…
