Notes : Windswept madness in the Bay Area so off to Cap where the tide was right and the wind offshore. nice swell coming in everywhere. it was not to big and definitely not too small. I surfed good – but wish I had surfed a little bit better- more a problem of positioning and wave selection more than anything else- there were too many times that I was just too far inside to connect with the really righteous rights coming through- I also was waiting for the really big ones to swing wide – and thus hop on the large shoulders- but I should have stayed right in the pod where everyone else was- eventually I smarted up and did just that – but by that time the really nice set waves had mostly ceased to be as the swell had died down in my second hour- still a good happy sesh.

Notes : Misty. Chilly. Slight onshore. Chopped up. Pretty empty – except for some of the better surfers – C and A and J and T. It was open shoulder chunklets coming thru – that provided a bit of a ride- didn’t surf all that well – but glad I got in because despite what it looked like from the lot- there were actually okay little corners and shoulders on offer…,

Board : Foggy and cool – but the water was pretty glassy. everywhere was closing out except for docs – folks clustered there including D and M and B and others. Managed to pull off some nice corners – not that clumsy – but I wouldn’t go so far as to claim elegant surfing…

Notes : Foggy light wind. real low tide -had to pick carefully between the closeouts. I managed to grab a few nice corners – but I surfed herky- jerky, clumsy – bad pop ups – but still managed some face time here and there…

Notes : Still a little dumpy – but much better groomed then yesterday – and thankfully a little smaller and not as powerful – the waves weren’t quite detonating on the shallow tide. found some corners here and there. man it was crowded – spread out – but kind of crowded
