Notes : Three bloody hours. Maybe one decent ride. Pathetic depressing performance. Could be my worst performance in Santa Cruz in YEARS. Just frustration. Even at the lo tide it was still to full – and weak – but still I blew waves and misjudged waves – a hack outing by a rank beginner -drab and pathetic. 3 hours – god knows I tried – things just never turned around…

Notes : Big and heavy – and fat with the high tide. The n north end was too big – so everyone was CROWDED INTO the creek area- a really large crowd for some reason. For one solid hour I tried to hunt for a surf able corner – one that had a clear flight path – not littered with soft top kooks and kookettes. Finally in my last 15 minutes I found two very nice rights – Neptune gifts. That was it.

Notes : Big and Wild. The North end was raging. The Creek was raging. Too Big. Rambunctious surf. Almost didn’t suit up. But there was enough lulls that I could paddle out at dox w/out fear of being pummeled. Once out I managed a few very nice lefts. Precisely three nice rides. But then I fell into a slump- I let too many perfectly nice waves pass me by – Still all in all a good session – challenging and slightly nerve wracking…

Notes : Glassy. Cloudy. Offshore. Big. Tight. Mean. Waves packed a punch. I took a monster on the head. Hollow and fast. 70% were tomahawk closeouts and it was hard to discern if a wave had a viable corner or was El Destroyo. Somehow I managed to pick two waves that were feathery and crumbly – both were super nice Rights with lots of quality face-time that I surfed well — good session. Practically empty line-up.

Notes : Wow – the first 45 minutes at the Dox were really good – two very solid nose rides on outside set waves. Everyone was at the creek and it was alot of people. Only 4 or 5 of us at the Dox. But god did that change fast. Soon enough the Dox crowd swelled to 26!! Everyone vying for the same set waves and the inside littered with soft top jockeys. Finally paddled over by the Creek – but it was even worse. I reckon (and some other for agreed with me) it was the most crowded I had ever seen Linda Mar South end IN MY LIFE. It was insane. Both lots were full – people parked in front of spots waiting for the finishers to change into their street clothes and boogie…

Notes : Another crisp clean windless sunny Fall day – flat again. though there was a clean little bump that came by in front of the A lot pump house. Three people on it so I suited up- actually got a nice glass coffee table clean left. maybe one other ride as well – for what looked like nothing it was not bad morning…
