Notes : classic 4 star capitola- half dozen 200 yards. interesting note about this sesh: very very long lulls. essentially about a half hour. biut when the sets would arrive it pumped for close to ten minutes. thus, i got a wave and then paddled like hell back out to the lineup (with waves breaking everywhere) to get in position get ANOTHER ONE. Then it went flat-literally for close to half an hour. then the flurry…

Notes : looked like shite from the b lot. cold drizzly- waves look crumbly with surface texture. on the paddle out things started to look better. some small but very nice sections were had – Chuck out in the mix and heading to nashville- surfed well which might have made the waves better than they actually were- in NYC?? mike and gina saying its 106!!!!!!

Notes : clean and well groomed again – very small and soft – but that means almost no crowds always a gem comes through – waist high glass perfection. it was the return of SNEAK ATTACK! hadn’t seen him for many years- somehow he lost weight-you can’t see him if he turns sideways – but he’s basically -IMO- a pro longboard surfer better and more stylish than even Rainey. He gave me a sweet wave- I deferred to him but he nodded at me that I should take it- indeed i did and it was the best wave of the sesh shoulder high. sneak attack 4-eva!!!
