Notes : waited and waited on the outside but GOT NOTHING. one full hour with no wave. longest i can remember going without a wave. lots of good surfers in the water – my ticket just didn’t come up. finally I went on the inside with the scrum and it paid off. Notes : going with the four. clean and sunny. 38th to 41st i knew was gonna be a zoo so hoping for the best at Cap. Good call because it wasn’t too crowded and waist to shoulder outside glass. my first wave was killer- then the tide started rising (10 am) so it became a case of diminishing returns. nevertheless a four for those first couple of noserides…

Notes : Foggy blue overcast sky. Onshore rubbish but went in for some mushy nibbles. Later in the parking lot got a text from KO “did you hear about the shark at the pumphouse” I  hand’t because I was surfing Taco Bell. In the oarking lot I asked J and Bjorn – they said a guy came into the lineup at taco bell all rattled and said “i just left from up north by the pumphouse because we just saw and 8 foot great white do a full breach in front of us” Bloody hell…
