Notes : Clear and windless. Lowtide. Just three of us at the dox. Small but surfable- every once in a while something would pop up

Notes : Small clean ankle slapper at the dox. But I surfed really well and it made really soft nothing waves really fun

Notes : Cloudless and windless – glassy and lo tide at the dox. Again mostly close outs but I stayed way outside and it paid off. Every 15 minutes or so a glassy outside hump would come through that stayed open – very nice. I got three of those and everyone in the lineup was jelly. I then waited 25 minutes for another to come by- finally another appeared BUT I BLEW THE TAKE OFF and lost the juciest part of the open face

Notes : Fog in the distance -out on the sea – but clear and blue in the Mar valley. windless. closeouts up north but there was a wave at the dox. very nice one that came by VERY infrequently – I got one but flubbed it. I saw M get one. The rest of the menu was close-outy – but yea those few that came through were very nice. They looked like they were going to be a big closeout – but they stayed open – hunting for them all sesh…

Notes : Capitola comes through. Breaking outside I was the only person that had the patience to wait. Paid off. Chest high glassy rollers. Surfed very well. I stalled alot. Stepped on the back of the board then raced up the board into the pocket. Couldn’t get “Broken English” out of my head for some reason…

Notes : Overcast, onshore and mishy moshy close-y outy from the North end to the South end of Linda Mar. 80% close outs at the A lot – but if you caught the 20% you would be doing all right. I decided on boatdox because I could tell it was better groomed and more consistent. Alot of better surfers in the lineup including J. Some nice things coming through but it was a positioning battle- and I was not surfing that great. Still managed some nosey nosers here and there…

Notes : Overcast with onshore wind. But it picked up. Alot of people out. Didn’t pick up enough to make dox working. There was a mishy moshy puzzle piece reform thingy bobby coming through in front of the A lot. Up close and personal it was a lot bigger than it seemed from the lot. When a set would show up it was “oh boy better scratch over this one”. It was a session where I distinctly remember not necessarily missing/blowing good waves – just not quite being in the right spot at the right time. Either I was paddling out after a wave or I was too far in or to far to the right or left of the peak. Still, managed to snare some wedges that had some juice…

Notes : A lake from the cam. Joules on surf forecast said “7”.Indeed it was flat – at first look. the lot was nearly empty as well. but the peak in front of the A lot was there – just barely. N was on it. I decided to go for not and not was great. exceeded expectation – thing is the wave had form that could give you a ride. surfed with a really good long boarder- we traded off waves – it got more crowded – when we got out at the same time we both said – “god that was so much better than what it looks like from the lot”

Notes : Back at the scene of the crime – the peak in front of the A lot – more juicier – small but well groomed – surfed elegantly – clear skies – windless

Notes : My god – buttin up against a 4 star exceptional. The only reason I am not going with the 4 is it was small. Just a tad bit bigger-and it would have won the 4 star. Nevertheless – amazing well groomed little nuggets. Again there was a small little peak at “middles” where alot of people were – and then a peak right in front of the A lot which was lull-i-er but had more size and punch. That was what I chose. Windless. Clear skies. Glass. MS paddled out and we traded wave back and forth. Then Gregg C and his wife joined us. I surfed well – it was just a small right zipper – a long enough ride where you could jump on the nose – take it down the line and it was over. A pod of dolphins passed us by – close enough to touch. I surfed straight into a shore fishermans line- he was yelling at me “hey you – hey you”. I untangled myself careful to avoid the hook. MS said “this is like a dream – its like September.” GS said to me later in the lot “Wow – June Swoon.” Stoked.
