Notes : Cleanish by the creek and biggish. was on the 84 and the 94 was in the shop. nearly run over by an english kook who dropped in on me. no idea how we escaped unscathed. The caught inside – on the impact zone – for 8 waves – the only 8 wave set of the entire sesh and it all landed on my head. it finally cleared and was dead calm – paddled out to the lineup and managed one mediocre ride and cashed in…

Notes : It was crystal clear and clean but very small. However there were little lines and corners at the creek. Had fun and surfed well. Tried Gina’s ALT and it was very glidy and wide. G then off with Mike back to NYC – me to RW shop to repair the nose and tail rail dings

Notes : Mushy cold and overcast. But at the creek it was gentle rough and tumble mush – with a nice little line here and there. Surfed well. Sesh was a blast – with Gina AND Kevin AND Mac kicking it creek rat style- Must be a record for the Linda MAR CREEK RATS – 4 in one Session!!!

Notes : Another year and another Kahuna Kapuna surf contest. My heat was at 830 and included 5 of the best longboarders – including MS- in norcal over 50. Gina heat was at 930. Mike also came with G- we assessed the conditions – onshore overcast and a “trying” paddle out -especially if you didn’t time it right and got caught inside. Fortunately when the horn blew it was a lull and I dry haired into the lineup. Paddled way outside and by the time I heard the two horns i saw an outside wave coming at me. I had priority on it and went for it – alas I misjudged the takeoff and it folded over way to quick- taking me with it and washing me inside. Out of position the rest of the heat. I managed two not bad lefts – but it was not enough. Six of six. Gina managed better in her heat snagging a very nice left that stayed open – winning her age division. We watched a bunch of other heats from the beach with mike and kevin and carolyn and max. took a 45 minute free surf at boat dox and then called it a day. That night a big ole bar b que at Lammys with everyone – great day.

Notes : We spiraled down to SC with Tina and Gina. G arranged a pre-kahuna pro session with ALloydT – after some hem and haw decided on Sharks. the fog cleared up and we paddled over from the hook. Down by sharks it was a small but well groomed little wave. In prep for the contest ALT yelled out horns which signaled the beginning of our 15 minute heats which she judged and gave us tips on – must have done six or seven heats – a lot of paddling – but such great fun- snagged a few open faces – Tina was watching from the rocks = as the tide was relatively high. We stopped for sushi – then for stawberries  at pie ranch – great day…
